Charges and Compensation Fees
Using the library is usually free of charge. A fee will be charged if a borrowed item is lost or damaged or a loan is returned or renewed after the due date. The payment will be charged even if a renewal has failed because of a fault of the Internet service or another technical fault. Payments made by the customer will not be returned. Damaged or lost material must be compensated. There are no overdue payments on items borrowed from the children’s department except for DVDs, Blu-rays and console games.
The fine for overdue material is 10 cents per loan per day. The maximum fine per item is 3 €. Reservations are free of charge, but a fee of 1 € will be charged if you don’t pick up your reservation or notify the library that you don’t need it anymore. Regional reservations from other Eepos Libraries cost 2 €.
If your overdue fees have amounted 5 € or more your borrowing privileges will be suspended, until you have paid the fees and/or returned or compensated the overdue items.
